The body needs to have the right amount of fluids on a daily basis, i.e. to stay hydrated. The body loses fluids in various ways that many of us do not even know about. For example, every day the human body loses water through breathing, sweating, urine, and various bowel movements.

For our body to function properly, it must replenish lost fluids by consuming water, or drinks and foods that contain water. That is why we are thirsty!
Many people know that they lose water through breathing and sweating, but because they know it, they consider it normal and do not consider as something important. The same happens with their hydration, they do not take care of it over time, which is a mistake of course.
In fact, there are a number of other causes that can lead to dehydration. In detail:
* Diabetes
People with diabetes usually make frequent visits to the toilet. During this process, the body releases extra glucose through urination. These individuals should be more mindful of consuming more fluids to make up for the loss.
* Premenstrual syndrome or PMS
It only concerns women, but it would be good for men to take a look to understand some things. Premenstrual syndrome or PMS is a set of physical and psychological symptoms associated with a woman's menstrual cycle (such as bloating and cramps, sensitivity in the chest, stress or anxiety, insomnia, muscle or joint pain, headache, fatigue, abrupt mood changes). Symptoms appear two weeks before the menstrual cycle. PMS changes hormones such as estrogen and progesterone, which in turn affect hydration levels. In addition, women with very high blood flow during this period are more likely to lose water.
* Stress/Anxiety
Who can escape this? Noone, not even the most unconscious person. So stress, as much as it may surprise you, is another factor that can make us become dehydrated. Stress is also part of a detailed process of the body, which, when it is at lower levels, affects the electrolytes as well as the fluid levels in our body.
* Not consuming fruits and vegetables
Aversion to fruits and vegetables is a legacy from our childhood. But this is very bad for our body, because these foods tend to have a high water content and not being included in our diet can lead to dehydration.
Although water is considered ideal because it is easily accessible and has no calories, some foods can work wonders in hydration. In fact, food accounts for about 20 percent of all water, food, and vegetable intake.
Tomatoes and watermelon comprise at least 90% water. Other healthy foods that can help with hydration are pineapple, strawberries, melon and cabbage.
