During the production of the plastic filter housing at the factory in Sindos, Thessaloniki, we add the special Biomaster® biocide to the plastic. Its inorganic nature, small particle size, and high temperature tolerance make the antimicrobial additive ideal for use in a wide range of applications.
Biomaster® uses Nanosilver technology (silver ions). Silver ions safely inhibit the growth of bacteria and microbes. The Biomaster® antimicrobial additive can be heated to temperatures up to 600 degrees Celsius without losing its antimicrobial properties.
Biomaster® complies with ISO 22196: 2011 against common organisms such as Campylobacter, E.coli, Listeria, MRSA, Pseudomonas, Salmonella. It has been shown to reduce the growth of these bacteria by up to 99.99%.
Biomaster is easily added to the product during production. The active ingredient in Biomaster® cannot be washed out or leach and is designed to last for the lifetime of the product.
It starts working when bacteria begin to multiply. It reduces 80% of bacteria after 15 minutes and 99.99% of bacteria after 2 hours.
Biomaster® is approved by the Biocidal Product Regulation No. 528/2012, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA), the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as well as the Food Standard Agency (FSA). It is also approved throughout the European Union and has the necessary Certificates of Compliance.
It is used worldwide mainly in medical devices, toys, food packaging, and drinking water applications.
Activated carbon is an entirely natural product and visually resembles a fine, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic black powder. It can be produced from peat, bamboo, coal, wood, sawdust, coconut shell, olive pits, and other sources. It is heated in a controlled environment and vacuum to achieve its characteristic porous surface. These tiny holes or pores can increase the carbon's surface area from 500 to 1500 m2/g. Due to this processing, it can bind various substances it comes into contact with, in both liquid and gas forms, in amounts many times its weight. One cubic centimeter of activated carbon has the same surface area as a 50,000 square meter surface. Naturally, activated carbon produced from coconut shell is the most environmentally friendly! This depends on your available kitchen space and your needs. Countertop filters can be connected by yourself in seconds, but they take up space on the counter. Under-sink filters save counter space but usually require installation by a technician or plumber.
If your problem is just taste or odor, a single filter is enough. If you also have sediment, you need a double filter—first stage for sediment, second for carbon. If you have limescale, sediment, and bad taste, a triple filter is recommended. For wells, islands, or very challenging water, we suggest a reverse osmosis filter. If you’re not sure, just contact us!

Tap filters: All plastic parts are covered for 10 years; diverter for 2 years.
Shipping: If your product arrives damaged, we’ll replace it at no cost.
