In a nutshell...
CeraMetix® is a spare filter that cleans water in 2 stages. In the first stage, there is the patented CeraCyl®, and in the second stage, there is also the patented AquaMetix®. CeraSyl® is a ceramic material (like porcelain) with bacteriostatic impregnated silver which is designed to trap particles smaller than 0.2μm (the average diameter of a human hair is 100 μm). It can trap bacteria and cysts to provide you with clean and safe water. Silver gives the filter bacteriostatic properties that prevent mitosis and allow it to self-sterilize . Because the ceramic filter is fairly "narrow", the flow of water is reduced over time. When it clogs, then simply rub it gently under running water with a kitchen sponge (on the soft side). This will remove all the mud and rust that has stuck to the outer shell and will restore the flow of water to normal levels. As the filter is quite compact, it allows the water to stay longer in the second stage of AquaMetix® and thus clean it even better from harmful substances.
- Nominal permeability 0.2 μm >99.9% . This practically means that out of the 100 particles with a diameter of 0.2μm that will try to penetrate the filter, 99.9% of them will not succeed.
- Absolute permeability 0.5 μm. This means that out of the 100 particles with a diameter of 0.5μm that will try to penetrate the filter, none will succeed.
- 100% cyst removal
- 99.9999% reduction of pathogenic bacteria
- You can clean the filter with a soft sponge for better water flow and life extension.
- Impregnated with silver that acts as a bacteriostatic and allows the filter to self-sterilize.
Aquametix®, which is on the second stage, is a patented combination of two types of activated carbon with Zeolite. Zeolites are combined with activated carbon through special polymers to create an extremely compact and porous water filter. It is made in the USA from raw materials with the highest FDA specifications, cutting-edge technologies and unprecedented performance.
CeraMetix® is the only combination filter that reduces cysts, pathogens, chlorine , bacteria, microplastics, cryptosporids, fluoride, lead, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), drug and pharmaceutical compounds, arsenic, chromium, nitrates, chloramines, pesticides, Glyphosate, triloganomethane, MTBE, aluminum, iron, mercury, nickel, zinc, industrial residues, turbidity and a large number of hazardous elements with a single cartridge.

- Microplastics 99%
- Chloramines: 90.3% ENVIROTEK certification based on ANSI / NSF Standard 42. Some municipalities, instead of using chlorine to disinfect water, use chloramine (a combination of chlorine and ammonia). The reason is that chloramines remain active in water more than chlorine. That is, if drinking water has a long way to go before it reaches your tap, then chloramine is better than chlorine. It also reduces the combination of chloramine, monochloramine and ammonia.
- > 98% THM (Trihalomethanes). Trihalomethanes (ΤΗΜs) in water are by-products of chlorine disinfection. The most common compounds controlled by water services are chloroform, bromophorm, dibromochloromethane, and bromodichloromethane.
- MTBE Methyl tert-butyl ether reduction by 97.6%. ENVIROTEK Certification. Methyl triobutyl (MTBE) is a volatile organic compound added to gasoline to reduce carbon monoxide and ozone levels in car emissions. In California, the addition of MTBE improved air quality by reducing car emissions by 14% at the state level. Unfortunately, in recent years, methyl triobutyl has begun to appear in water as well.
- It effectively reduces industrial residues, toxicity, turbidity, particulate matter, mud, rust, soil and various other substances harmful to the body.
- Reduction of radionuclides
- It does not remove the minerals and trace elements that are necessary for the body.
- It significantly improves the taste and smell of water.
- It must be replaced at least once a year or every 2300 liters.
A few words for activated carbon

The activated carbon that is built into CeraMetix® is a completely natural product that looks like a fine, odorless, tasteless and non-toxic black powder. It can be produced from peat, bamboo, charcoal, wood, sawdust, coconut husk, olive kernels, but also from oil. It is heated in a controlled environment and in vacuum to acquire its characteristic porous surface. These tiny holes, or pores, can increase the surface of carbon from 500 to 1500 m2 / gr. Due to this treatment, it can and does bind various substances that come in contact with it, in liquid or gaseous form, and in quantities many times its own weight. One cubic centimeter of activated carbon has the same area as a surface of 50,000 square meters. Of course, the activated carbon produced from coconut husk is the most ecological and environmentally friendly! CeraMetix® combines two types of activated carbon with Zeolite.
A few words about Zeolite

Zeolite is a mineral of volcanic origin that, due to its special chemical properties, is used in water treatment industry, environmental protection, crops, agriculture, etc. It was named so in 1756 by the Swedish miner Axel Kronstadt, who observed that rapid stilbite heating produced a large amount of steam from the water absorbed by the material. Therefore, he named this material zeolite, from the greek words zeo (boil) and lithos (lite=stone).
It contains a significant amount of clinoptilolite and it is also used in nuclear treatment, as it can purify nuclear waste containing radioactive isotopes. One of its most important functions is the ability to bind and eliminate heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum and extra iron, without removing healthy ions and metals.

"How do I choose the right replacement filter for my area?"
The replacement filters included in your package are suitable for most areas of Greece, but your device is also compatible with many other filter types. On each product page, you’ll find all available replacement filters with photos, summaries, and links for more details. If you’re not sure which filter is best for your area, simply contact us—we’ll be happy to help!
"Should I choose a countertop or under-sink filter?"
This depends on your available kitchen space and your needs. Countertop filters can be connected by yourself in seconds, but they take up space on the counter. Under-sink filters save counter space but usually require installation by a technician or plumber.
"I don’t know if I need a single, double, or triple filter."
If your problem is just taste or odor, a single filter is enough. If you also have sediment, you need a double filter—first stage for sediment, second for carbon. If you have limescale, sediment, and bad taste, a triple filter is recommended. For wells, islands, or very challenging water, we suggest a reverse osmosis filter. If you’re not sure, just contact us!
"How will I remember when to change my filter?"
Leave it to us! We’ll call you when it’s time to change your filter.
"If a part of my filter breaks, do you have spare parts?"
We stock all spare parts for every device we sell.
"What does the warranty cover?"
Under-sink filters: The warranty covers the plastic housings (provided water pressure does not exceed device limits). Faucets and metal parts are covered for 2 years; stainless steel bases for 10 years.
Countertop filters: The warranty covers plastic parts; the faucet and diverter are covered for 2 years.
Tap filters: All plastic parts are covered for 10 years; diverter for 2 years.
Shipping: If your product arrives damaged, we’ll replace it at no cost.
