CeraMetix® SP cleans water in 3 stages. In the first stage, there is the patented CeraCyl®, a ceramic material with embedded silver that removes cysts and pathogenic bacteria and prevents the development and mitosis of bacteria, while having the ability to self-sterilize. In the second stage, there is also the patented AquaMetix®, a combination of two types of activated carbon with Zeolite. The Zeolite is combined with activated carbon using special polymers to create an extremely compact and porous water filter that fits most commercial devices. In the third stage, there is a special salt breakdown filter that limits the aesthetic effect of salts (the known white spots in the kitchen sink).

It is the only combination filter that reduces cysts, pathogens, chlorine, bacteria, cryptosporidium, fluorides, lead, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), pharmaceutical compounds and pharmaceutical formulations, nitrates, arsenic, chromium, chloramines, herbicides, Glyphosate, trihalomethanes, MTBE, aluminum, iron, mercury, nickel, zinc, industrial residues, turbidity, and a very large number of dangerous elements with a single cartridge.

In Summary...

The CeraMetix® is a replacement filter that cleans water in 3 stages. In the first stage, there is the patented CeraCyl®, and in the second, the also patented AquaMetix®. CeraSyl® is a ceramic material (like porcelain) with bacteriostatic impregnated silver designed to trap particles smaller than 0.2μm (the average diameter of a human hair is 100μm). It can trap bacteria and cysts to provide you with clean and safe water. The silver gives the filter bacteriostatic properties that prevent mitosis and allow it to self-sterilize. Since the ceramic is a relatively "tight" filter, it is logical that over time it reduces the water flow. When it clogs enough, then you simply gently rub it under running water with a kitchen sponge (from the soft side). This will remove all the mud and rust that has been retained on the outer shell and restore the water flow to normal levels. As the filter is quite compact, it allows the water to remain longer in AquaMetix® located in the second stage and thus be cleaned even better from harmful substances. The water then passes through a salt-splitting filter that reduces the aesthetic effect of salts (white spots in the kitchen sink).

  • Fits most commercial devices.
  • Nominal permeability 0.2μm >99.9%. This practically means that of the 100 particles with a diameter of 0.2μm that will try to penetrate the filter, >99.9% of them will not succeed.
  • Absolute permeability 0.5μm. This means that of the 100 particles with a diameter of 0.5μm that will try to penetrate the filter, none will succeed.
  • 100% removal of cysts
  • 99.9999% reduction of pathogenic bacteria
  • You can clean the filter with a soft sponge for better water flow and extended life.
  • Impregnated with silver which acts as a bacteriostatic and allows the filter to self-sterilize.

The Aquametix® located in the second stage, is a patented combination of two types of activated carbon with Zeolite. Zeolites are combined with activated carbon with special polymers to create an extremely compact and porous water filter. Made in the USA with the highest FDA standard raw materials, cutting-edge technologies, and unprecedented performance.

CeraMetix® is the only combination filter that reduces cysts, pathogens, chlorine, bacteria, microplastics, cryptosporidia, fluorides, lead, heavy metals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), drug and pharmaceutical compounds, arsenic, chromium, nitrates, chloramines, herbicides, Glyphosate, trihalomethanes, MTBE, aluminum, iron, mercury, nickel, zinc, industrial residues, turbidity, and a large number of dangerous elements with a single cartridge.

A Few Words About Activated Carbon

coconut shell carbon

The activated carbon used in CeraMetix® is an absolutely natural product that visually resembles a fine, odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic black powder. It can be produced from peat, bamboo, charcoal, wood, sawdust, coconut shell, olive pits, and other sources. It is heated in a controlled environment and in a vacuum to acquire its characteristic porous surface. These microscopic holes, or pores, can increase the surface area of the carbon from 500 to 1500 m2/gr. Due to this processing, it can bind various substances that come into contact with it, in liquid or gaseous form, in quantities many times its own weight. One cubic centimeter of activated carbon has the same surface area as 50,000 square meters. Naturally, activated carbon produced from coconut shells is the most ecological and environmentally friendly! CeraMetix® combines two types of activated carbon with Zeolite.

A Few Words About Zeolite

Zeolite in water filters

Zeolite is a volcanic-origin mineral that, due to its unique chemical properties, is used in the water treatment industry, environmental protection, agriculture, and more. It was named in 1756 by the Swedish mineralogist Axel Cronstedt, who observed that rapidly heating stilbite produced a large amount of steam from the water absorbed by the material. Thus, he named this material zeolite, from the Greek 'zeo' (to boil) and 'lithos' (stone).

It contains a significant amount of clinoptilolite and is also used in nuclear processing, as it can clean nuclear waste containing radioactive isotopes. One of its most important functions is the ability to bind and eliminate heavy metals, such as lead, mercury, cadmium, aluminum, and excess iron, without removing healthy ions and metals.
