Why should we water our plants?

In previous articles, we have referred in detail to the reasons why we are thirsty, the importance of water for our health, as well as the clean water that we must offer to our body (through special water filters that effectively remove various microorganisms, germs and bacteria from the drinking water).

Why do plants need watering?

In this article we will focus on plants, which need water for a variety of reasons.

Since elementary school, we have learned that plants absorb water from the soil and need watering to help them absorb as much water as necessary for many reasons.

More specifically, they absorb water from the soil, because along with its intake, various other nutrients are contained. These nutrients, when ingested and absorbed by plants, decompose in a suitable form so that they become consumable.

Without water, these components would not be able to decompose and would remain in solid form. As a result, the respective plant would not be able to "consume" them and there would be no evolution of the species

Moreover, water acts as a means of transporting nutrients to all parts of the plant. Just as blood helps transfer nutrients throughout the human body, so does water help nutrients reach all parts of the plant.

What is more, water is absolutely necessary for the photosynthesis to be completed.

One of the reasons why we are thirsty is because we lose fluids when sweating due to a rise in temperature. Plants may not sweat, but they do get warm and cool.

On hot days, water evaporates through plant leaves to keep them cool, thus losing the water they need and having a lack of it. And since they do not have hands like us humans to drink the water they need, we must help them.

Finally, this valuable ingredient is essential for plant growth as well as for the function of their cells, which is their key ingredient!

It is worth mentioning that plant watering is basically an artificial process so that we provide the plant with a sufficient amount of water to do its job properly.

Without watering it, we simply leave it to his fate. If there is a sufficient amount of water in the soil, it will survive, otherwise this will be really difficult.

As you can see, water is a source of life for plants as well, so do the right thing for them! Take care of them as they deserve it! Water your plants regularly!
