Silly questions about water

νερό και χαζές απορίες

Water is the good with the highest value, but it is available for free. This fact raises many questions that were answered in an earlier article. However, this is not the only question about water. We often hear different stories and myths concerning water, therefore, even more questions are raised. But what is the truth?

I will start with the most serious one. If water in our body is reduced by only 1%, then we are thirsty. This quantity may seem quite small based on the percentage we mentioned before, but in fact, it is not. This is because if the water in our body is reduced by 10%, then death is certain.

κοπέλα κάνει ντους με κρύο νερόDid you know that a cold shower does not alleviate the intense libido, but stimulates the erotic mood instead? I'm sure few of you know that. According to an English study on thrombosis, cold showers greatly improve blood temperature, strengthen the immune system and intensify the erotic mood. Cold water seems to increase testosterone levels in men and estrogen in women, along with all that it entails. The argument that a cold shower alleviates the libido does not seem to be true, so go for a cold shower!

We drink water, but now there is another solution. Until now, we all knew since school that water is found in three forms: solid, liquid and gas. We also knew that liquid is what we drink and solid is the ice we all know. But now, a new discovery is coming to shake our already known beliefs! Scientists from the University of Tokyo have discovered the water we eat. Probably, the Japanese have nothing to do, and, after cars, they want to draw the spotlight and people's admiration on them again. They have been looking for new ways to store water for a long time, not in liquid but in solid form! Therefore, they made the rubber water. It looks like a piece of jelly, but it is completely transparent and more elastic than the jelly we all know. It consists of 95 percent pure water, while the remaining 5 percent is clay and other organic materials. This material will be completely friendly and safe both for the environment and people. It may also be used as a medical tool to reconstruct injured or operated tissue during the recovery period. Now, of course everyone will wonder whether they should chew water instead of drinking it. Of course not. This is still a distant scenario in the realm of "fantasy". After all, how can a solid form like jelly replace the wonderful taste that water leaves us when we drink it from the tap with the help of a special water filter that makes it even more tasteful and clean? It is impossible.

Last but not least, we extinguish fire with water, but can water catch fire? Indeed, as shocking as it may seem to you, it can! In the following video, you will see how we can set fire to water. A glass of water, matches and two batteries are enough to achieve this strange result. But be careful not to try it at home.
The questions are a lot, some of them insightful and others not so much we would say. The essence is that here in Primato Hellas we will answer them all for you ...

George Margiolos was born in Thessaloniki and has graduated from the Department of Marketing of the Alexandreio Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. He is fluent in English and (not so fluent) in German.

Ηe has been Project Manager at Avery Dennison - Fastener Division in the UK. There, his main project was to redesign the company's products into new applications so as to become more environmentally friendly. In combination with the fact that in the UK people are more familiar with water filters, he has developed a love for environmentally friendly water filters, which reduce the use of plastic bottles and improving people's quality of life.

Since 2008, he has published over 300 unique educational and informative articles on water filters and new water treatment technologies.

Occasionally, universities and doctoral students request to use George Margiolos' articles in their research because of their quality and uniqueness.
